Old Coast Tidal Fire Pompano Rig

Tidal Fire is the orange-and-green rig in the lineup. Two droppers. Two 1/0 circle hooks. Two teardrop floats. 20lb mono.

Orange and green show up when the water is dirty, the sky is overcast, or you’re fishing a colored outgoing tide. The floats keep each bait off the bottom so pompano can find it instead of burying it in the sand.

Clip a pyramid or sputnik to the snap. Tie your main line to the swivel. Bait with sand fleas or shrimp. Cast beyond the first breaker and hold bottom. Circle hooks don’t need a swing — keep light pressure and let them turn.

Sputnik when the tide is ripping. Pyramid when it’s not. Two hooks, one cast.
